About Us

Jason Kozica

Psychologist

Jason is a registered psychologist with over six years of experience supporting individuals with complex mental health and neurodivergent profiles. He has training in process-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness. Jason has worked in community mental health settings with people of all ages and volunteered as a telephone counsellor at Lifeline.

Jason’s approach is person-centred, practical, and non-judgemental, focusing on building strong therapeutic relationships. He is passionate about the connection between physical activity and mental health and often incorporates sport psychology techniques to boost client motivation. As a national-level athlete, Jason understands performance anxiety firsthand and uses this insight to support elite athletes.

He especially enjoys working with neurodivergent young people and is committed to neuroaffirming practices. Jason has extensive experience with autism, ADHD, OCD, and schizophrenia, and offers neuroaffirming assessments and specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP).

Jason works alongside two certified therapy dogs, who provide a calming presence and often join clients for “walk and talk” sessions.

She specializes in functional assessments, including NDIS access requests and home modification reports, and has experience in neuroaffirming autism assessments as part of an interdisciplinary team. Mindy is passionate about helping clients build practical skills for daily living.

Together with Jason, Mindy co-facilitates a weekly psychosocial recovery group, offering clients strengths-based, affirming support as they apply psychological flexibility skills in real-world settings.

Occupational Therapist

Meet Ziggy & Carlos

Our practice is deeply grateful to have been supported by Loosen Up with Luna, our original therapy dog, whose intuition, warmth, and compassion brought comfort to many clients before her passing a few years ago. Though Luna is no longer with us, her loving spirit lives on through our current therapy dogs, Zen with Ziggy and Keep Calm with Carlos. They continue Luna’s legacy by providing a calming presence and emotional support during therapy sessions and group programs.
